Cozy, renter-friendly homes on a real budget

Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Last updated

Linen & Lamp is free to read. Here's how it pays for itself, so you can weigh our recommendations with all the facts.

Amazon

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

When you click one of our links to Amazon and buy within Amazon's referral window, Amazon pays Linen & Lamp a small percentage of the sale. Your price doesn't change. The commission can also apply to other items you buy during that visit, not only the one we linked.

Other affiliate programs

We also use affiliate links from other retailers and affiliate networks, such as home goods stores, rug and lighting shops, and online marketplaces. They work the same way: a referral cookie, a commission on qualifying orders, and no added cost to you. Posts that contain affiliate links carry a short note near the top, and product grids are marked.

What commissions do and don't change

Commissions never decide what goes into a post. We choose products for renter-friendliness, size, materials, price and value, and we include items we can't earn from when they're the better pick. A higher commission rate doesn't earn a product a better spot. Our recommendations come from research of product listings, specs and buyer reviews, not hands-on testing, unless an article says we've used the item ourselves.

Display ads

Ads on Linen & Lamp are served by third-party ad partners. We don't select the specific ads, and an ad on our page isn't an endorsement. If an ad looks misleading or inappropriate, send us the page link and a screenshot and we'll report it.

Our own printables

We make and sell our own digital products, like room planners and seasonal checklists, and offer some for free when you join our email list. When an article points you to one of those, it's our product and the revenue is ours. We'll always say so.

Linen & Lamp doesn't publish sponsored posts right now. If that changes, a paid partnership will be labeled "Sponsored" at the top, and the brand won't get approval over our opinions. If a company ever sends us a product at no cost, the post will mention it.

Why we tell you this

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires creators to disclose material connections with brands, and readers deserve to know them anyway. Questions are welcome at [email protected].
