These terms are the house rules for linenandlamp.com. By using Linen & Lamp, you agree to them and to any laws that apply where you live. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who can use Linen & Lamp
Linen & Lamp is meant for adults. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use the site, join our email list or buy a product. If you're younger, please don't use the site.
What the site is
Linen & Lamp publishes articles, printable planners and product roundups about decorating, organizing and hosting in rented and small homes. Some printables are free and some may be sold. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.
What you're welcome to do
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to read, print and save our content for your own household use. Saving our images to Pinterest with a link back to the original post is welcome, and sharing a link to any post is always fine. This license doesn't transfer ownership of anything to you.
What's not allowed
Please don't:
- copy, republish or translate our articles or images on another site, app or social account without written permission
- sell, resell or redistribute our printables, free or paid
- use our content for commercial purposes, including training AI models or building datasets
- scrape, crawl or harvest the site with bots or automated tools (search engines that respect our robots.txt are fine)
- frame or mirror the site inside another website
- remove copyright notices or watermarks
- reverse engineer site code, probe it for weaknesses, or disrupt it with malware or floods of requests
- use the site for anything unlawful
Being kind
If you contact us, send a photo, or join any space we run, don't harass anyone, post unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit material, impersonate someone, or send spam and unsolicited promotions.
Who owns what
The text, images, graphics, logo, layout, printables and code on Linen & Lamp belong to Linen & Lamp or to the people who licensed them to us, and they're protected by copyright and trademark law. Apart from the license above, nothing may be reproduced without our express written consent.
Things you send us
If you send us a photo, room story or tip and give permission to feature it, you grant Linen & Lamp a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, edit, display and distribute it on the site, in emails and on our social accounts, credited the way you ask. You confirm that you own it or have the right to share it. We may edit, decline or remove submissions at our discretion.
Decorating at your own discretion
Our ideas are general information, and your lease, building and walls are particular. Before you hang, stick, mount or move anything, check your rental agreement and, when in doubt, ask your landlord. Follow manufacturer weight limits and instructions, test adhesives in a hidden spot, keep candles and heaters away from fabric, and anchor tall dressers and shelves to prevent tip-overs (ask your landlord about the anchor if your lease limits holes). Hardwired lights and outlets are a job for a licensed electrician. Results depend on your space, budget and skills, and decisions about your home are yours.

We link to retailers and other sites we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content, products, prices or policies, and you follow those links at your own risk.
Affiliate links and ads
Linen & Lamp earns money from display advertising and affiliate programs, including Amazon Associates, which may pay us a commission when you buy through our links at no extra cost to you. The full explanation is on our disclosure page.
Digital products
Free and paid printables are licensed for personal use in one household. Paid files are delivered digitally after checkout through a third-party payment processor, whose terms also apply to the payment. Since downloads can't be returned, sales are final, but if a file won't open, is missing pages or doesn't match its product page, email us within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund you. Prices may change before you buy.
No guarantees
The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We don't promise the site will always be online or free of errors.
Mistakes happen
Articles may contain technical, typographical or photographic errors, and prices, sizes and stock levels change quickly. We don't warrant that anything on the site is accurate, complete or current. We may change content at any time without notice and aren't obligated to update it. When we find an error, we correct it under our editorial guidelines.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Linen & Lamp and its owner, team and agents won't be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages, including property damage, a withheld deposit or lost data, arising from your use of the site or your inability to use it, even if we were told such damage was possible. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Linen & Lamp, its owner and its team from claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.
Ending access
We may suspend or end anyone's access to the site, our emails or our products at any time, without notice, for any reason, including a breach of these terms. Your right to use the site ends immediately when that happens.
Privacy
Your use of Linen & Lamp is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms at any time, without notice, by posting a new version on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept it, so please check back from time to time.
Events outside our control
We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by things beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or internet outages, hosting failures, war, terrorism, labor disputes or government action.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the owner of Linen & Lamp is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction unless the law where you live gives you a different right.
Severability and the whole agreement
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, our Privacy Policy and the notices posted on the site make up the entire agreement between you and Linen & Lamp about the site, replacing any earlier understanding.
